Race day: Saturday September 16, 2017

Race kit pick-up (boat drop-off and rigging): Friday September 15, 2017 from 4 to 7pm

Cost; $65 per participant

Race day schedule of events:

8:00 am - Check-in and race pack pick up 
9:30 am -  race course briefing and information
Race Start - 15 km and 30 km distance (staggered start times)
10:00  - OC-1, OC-2, marathon canoe (15 km and 30 km)
10:05 - OC-6  (15 km) first crew 
10:10 - Surfski and kayak (15 km and 30 km)
10:30 -  SUP (10 km)
11:00 - Recreational canoe (5 km)
11:30 - OC6 (15 km) second crews will start
1:00 PM - lunch
2:00 PM - Kids try a SUP demo
2:30 PM - Awards Ceremony

Boat classes

Outrigger

  • OC6 - standard spec. OC6 i.e. Bradley lighting  or Force 5 (no unlimited hulls allowed)
  • OC1 - OC2 - single and double person outrigger canoe open

Stand up paddling

  • SUP  - male (max length 14')
  • SUP  - female (max length 12'6")
  • SUP  - youth (max length 12')

Surfski and Kayak

  • Surfski - max length 6.45 m
  • Kayak Open - male/female/adult/youth (longer than 5 m)
  • Kayak rec - male/female/adult/youth (shorter than 5 m)

Canoe

  • Canoe Open - male/female/adult/youth (max. length 18'6", min. beam 32")
  • Canoe rec - adult/youth (max length 17')
  • Canoe rec - Adult/Youth (max length 17')
  • ‚ÄčNorth Canoe (26' length, six paddlers)

Registration cost:

Participant: $65 + HST/person

The registration includes:

  • all race fees
  • meal following the race
  • technical t-shirt (you will be asked to select the size during registration)
  • swag from our sponsors

Spectators meal only option: $25/person

Boat rental and marketplace.

ORCC has a limited fleet of boats for rent during the event. We are also facilitating a boat marketplace: 

  • if you have a boat you would like to rent to others (you will earn $), please email info@orcc.ca
  • if you want to rent a boat, please specify on the registration form (only one person per crew)
