TRAIN TO PERFORM - SPRINT PROGRAM

The Train to Perform is for experienced paddlers with the goal of attending CKC National Championships. 

**Interest in this program must be discussed with Head Coach Joel Hazzan prior to registration and all participants must be ORCC members
.  

Winter training will challenge athletes with an individualized program that may include:

  • conditioning session with Andrea
  • swim conditioning sessions
  • weight room training with Joel
  • cardio training (independent and group)

Spring, summer and fall sessions include: 

  • 6-10 sessions per week on water (weather dependent)
  • 2-3 dry-land conditioning & weight room (early am/pm)

    Cost: 

    • Full-season: $1680 (September 1 to August 31)
    • Students out-of-town: $910 (April/May to Nationals) 

    Some local EOD and OCSRA events will be covered by the program fee. If an athlete does not attend one of the regattas, there will be no reimbursement of racing fees. 

    Additional costs that are not included in the program fee:
    • Spring Training Camp  
    • CKC Nationals race fees
    • Team trials race fees and coaching fees (athletes who attend trials will pay the cost for their coaches transportation, accommodation and meals)
    • Richcraft Membership for training (Youth rate) 
    • Trailer fee for transporting individual boats to Nationals & team trials

    CANCELLATION POLICY:

    Please be aware of the ORCC Cancellation Policy:

    • Program cancellations will be issued a prorated refund calculated to one month from the receipt of the cancellation request and the withdrawal of the participant from the program.
    •  In the case of injury or illness, a medical certificate may be required.
    **N.B. - β€œThe ORCC reserves the right to refuse admission or cancel registrations in the programs at its discretion.”
