Introduction to Stand-Up Paddling
Everyone's curious about these new Stand Up Paddle Boards, more commonly know as SUPs. So intriguing to watch and what's nicely surprising is that they are both manageable and a great work out! Ottawa River Canoe Club is offering sessions for those both young and young at heart to take on a new challenge. You'll learn to tackle both flat water and the gentle (and sometimes somewhat challenging!) surf that the Ottawa River can present.
Intended for the novice SUP paddler who wants to learn the basic skills.
Setting: outside, please dress appropriately for weather and also bring water shoes, a bathing suite, sunscreen, water.
Effort level: moderate, with few instances of relatively high intensity throughout the course.
Duration: 1.5 hours
All necessary equipment is provided by ORCC.
Please note our cancellation policy:
- 2 weeks prior to the start of the program will receive a full refund less a $15 non-refundable administration fee.
- less than 2 weeks to the start of the program will be issued a credit only. However, you can always reschedule for another session or receive full credit towards other programs.
