Welcome to the sprint program which offers a graduated program for children and teens to become comfortable in the boats and work together as a team to master paddling skills.
Spring training providers paddlers with the opportunity to get on the water ahead of the summer regatta season. Paddlers can continue to train through the summer camps where they will have the option to race at one of the local regattas within the Eastern Ontario Division. Paddlers will train and race as individuals and in crews of 2 or 4 paddlers, using canoes and kayaks, as well as the always exciting 15 person war canoe.
To accommodate busy schedules there will be three training times throughout the week:
There will be no practice Saturday, June 27th.
Athletes must arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of practice to get equipment set-up.
All athletes must come prepared with running shoes for warm-ups and dry-land training when the weather is not cooperating.
ORCC offers a variety of payment methods such as cheque, etransfer and credit card. However, credit card transactions cost the club thousands of dollars every year. In an effort to keep program pricing reasonable, we ask those participants who wish to pay by credit card to ensure you also pay the credit card convenience fee to help offset the costs to the club. No convenience fee is charged for etransfers or cheque.
