No Camp July 1 for Canada Day
Does your child love being on the water and would like to learn how to paddle a canoe, kayak, Dragon boat or SUP (Stand Up Paddle) board?
Junior Canoe Kids program provides a fun camp environment for children, 6 to 7 years old, to learn fundamental canoe and kayak skills and to encourage a lifelong interest in paddling. The Junior Canoe Kids program is designed to provide children an opportunity to paddle and socialize with their friends in a fun team environment. Campers develop water safety awareness and paddling skills while increasing their confidence on the water. The camping day includes on-land active games, crafts, and discovery time. The focus is on summer fun!
COVID Rules and Regulations:
ORCC is operating as if we will be under the same COVID rules and regulations as we were in 2020. Our Summer Camp COVID Policy is available here. All campers and parents will be required to abide by the policy at all times, regardless if you have received a COVID-19 vaccine.
Swim Competency
All campers will undergo a swim assessment on their first day of camp that includes swimming 50 meters and treading water. This assessment allows our counsellors to determine each campers comfort level in and around the water. No camper will be turned away due to swim ability as ALL campers, regardless of swim ability, are required to wear a Government of Canada Approved Personal Flotation Device while on or near the water.
