Come paddle your heart out on the Ottawa River, our heritage waterway!

COST: $65 + HST per person
ALL COMPETITORS MUST BE 14 DAYS PAST THEIR SECOND COVID-19 VACCINATION. This will be enforced through an honour system.More information and registration
This is an open, one day competition with about 120 paddlers, of every ability, competing in open, mixed and women's divisions as individuals or in crew boats. There will be a 8km and 12 km race course events. Food and non-alcoholic drink will be served from 11:30am onwards. The races will be followed by a small celebrations at the Ottawa River Canoe Club. Spectators are not allowed on site, but can view the races from the beach on the other side of the YMCA property at Sheila McKee Park (parking lot is approximately 300m past the ORCC parking lot).

ORPC has a limited fleet of boats for rent during the event. We are also facilitating a boat marketplace:
TRAINING FOR THE EVENTS
Ottawa River Canoe Club (ORCC) offers OC6 rentals and coached sessions for your team. Crews who wish to rent a boat must have one person in the boat who is a certified coach through the Coaching Association of Canada or through the Canadian Outrigger Racing Association (CORA) and has done a huli drill with ORCC. Alternatively, ORCC will provide you with a certified coach for a small fee. For more information click on this link.
